Maybelline Great Lash Waterproof Mascara Review

Mascara 2Edit 1

mascara 2edit2

Maybelline’s Great Lash Waterproof mascara has been called iconic, a classic and a must-have. It is constantly being put on top 10 mascara lists and is said to be one of the best drugstore mascaras. I finally decided to try it out for myself. Carry on reading to see what I thought.

Maybelline’s waterproof version of Great Lash, is meant to provide clump-free volume and thicken the lashes whilst conditioning them. This lash-doubling waterproof formula is said to glide on smoothly to build great-looking, smudge-proof lashes. Maybelline also claim that their lash-building brush will make it easier to get a full lash look without clumps. This mascara is packaged in Maybelline’s pink and green tube and has the same brush as the original.

After reading tons of great things about this mascara I was expecting a lot from it. Two coats of this mascara provided some length and volume to my lashes as well as making them look blacker and a little bolder. It didn’t leave clumps in my lashes and was definitely smudge-proof and lasted the whole day. This mascara will not give you a false lash effect so if that’s what your looking for then this isn’t for you. This is a great mascara if you want a natural look as it subtly defines your eyes and gives eyes a bit more definition then they would have without mascara.

All in all, I wouldn’t say that this product is the best drugstore mascara, but it is a pretty good one. I was delighted with the look this mascara gave my lashes and don’t believe you will find a better mascara for the price. This isn’t my favourite mascara, but I will definitely finish the tube and may decide to repurchase it. If you want to try this mascara, it is currently selling for £4.99 at Boots.
