Fall 2014 Beauty/Makeup Trends

Lips are usually the focus of Autumn/Winter makeup, but this Fall the focus is on the eyes. Graphic liner, extra-long false lashes and blue eye makeup are just some of the trends that are popular this season. The natural look was also favoured by designers, as were cornrows, which were seen at Alexander McQueen and Marchesa. Take a look at some of my favourite Autumn trends below.

Doll-Like Lashes – Thick, long and 60’s style lashes are very popular this Winter. Wear false lashes on top and bottom lids for a dramatic and bold look.

Blue Eye Makeup – Blue eye makeup has returned again this Autumn. Try out the trend by swapping your usual black liner for dark blue.

Christian Dior

Graphic/Stippled Liner – Stippled Liner at Lanvin and graphic blocks of liner at Dries Van Noten. This season eyeliner should be bold and painterly.

Glowing /Highlighted Skin – Skin is illuminated for Fall 2014. Use highlighter on the top of the cheekbones, cupids bow and brow bone for a glowing look.

Vera Wang

Maxi Brows – Cara Delevigne’s brows continue to influence the industry, as brows are still big. Grow out brows and fill in any gaps with brow product.

Giorgio Armani

Center Part Waves – This no-fuss hairstyle inspired by Parisian pin-up girls is the perfect look for low-maintenance girls this season. I’ll definitely be trying out this trend.
